Meet Dr. Jesso
Meet Dr. Kim Jesso, a St. Petersburg Board certified Chiropractor Neurologist through the Carrick Institute. She was admitted to the American Chiropractic Neurology Board as a Diplomate (DACNB), December 2020. Dr. Jesso received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Memorial University in St. Johns Newfoundland in 2014. She then went on to complete her Doctorate at Palmer Chiropractic College of Florida (PCCF) in 2017.
In August of 2015, Dr. Jesso became certified in Active release therapy that allows for the release of muscle tension through active range of motion. Using instrument assisted soft tissue techniques, active release can be amplified in the assisted healing of our patients. Instrument assisted soft tissue has not only shown great results in healing sore muscles and joints but has great benefits when used for lymphatic drainage associated with inflammation and immune system dysfunction.
In February of 2021, Dr. Jesso became certified in Chiropractic Pediatrics that gave her more in-depth knowledge into the care provided to newborns and young children, as well as expecting mothers. The certification allowed Dr. Jesso to learn expanding information on nutrition, chiropractic adjusting techniques and expectations related to pregnancy and the newborn.
Interests
Functional Neurology first became an interest for Dr. Jesso in 2016 after a lecture presented by Dr. Carrick related to incorporating functional neurology to a variety of both muscuoloskeletal and brain based disorders. Dr. Carrick presented cases with positive outcomes in pain management, brain trauma, concussion, headaches, balance disorders, speech, movement, dysautonomia and POTs.
Tailored Treatments
Dr. Jesso utilizes soft tissue techniques ART, cupping, taping, as well as functional neurology, chiropractic, ad supplements to tailor her treatments to each individual patient.
